Here's some more of my favored animal characters- a cat that has become progressively more violent in each pass, a dog-lizard hooked on hallucinogens, and a mosquitoe who works as a children's birthday entertainer by day and a conman by night. So there's that.

All right. That's it for life drawings, I think. Here's a few early versions of the RedCat (animation in progress) and some sketches that help me get through my classes, featuring Tim the Enchanter from Holy Grail.

The models at CalArts are pretty great for the most part; lots of costumes, poses, etc. They will not, however, adopt a standing pose for more than three minutes (usually).

-Hands and feet, mostly my own.

-More life drawings. The flayed figure and Saturn are both statues, but the x-ray portrait was a live model; the idea was to draw the person's skull beneath their flesh.

Art Dump Part 2

And I'm back! I've finished cleaning up my backed-up illustrations, so I can finally start posting again. It'll be a bit longer before I put my animations up, but I'll just start off with some life drawings, here. These animals hail from the L.A. zoo, and looked particularly bored.
